Job description:

Administer, configure, and maintain Linux (e.g., CentOS, Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows servers (e.g., Windows Server 2016/2019) in a mixed environment.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and services on both Linux and Windows platforms.

Monitor system performance, security, and availability of Linux and Windows servers using monitoring tools solarwinds.

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including applying updates, patches, and security configurations for both Linux and Windows systems.

Respond to incidents and provide technical support for both Linux and Windows server-related issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime.

Troubleshoot system-related problems, diagnose root causes, and implement solutions for Linux and Windows platforms.

Implement and maintain security measures, policies, and procedures for Linux and Windows servers to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and apply necessary security updates for both operating systems.

Create and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for Linux and Windows environments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects, migrations, and deployments involving both Linux and Windows environments.

Work closely with other IT teams to optimize system performance, implement best practices, and ensure seamless integration between Linux and Windows systems

Need to have core competencies in the administration, support, and operation of the Orion SolarWinds platform including Network Performance Monitor, Network Configuration Manager, Server & Application Monitor, NetFlow Traffic Analyzer and IP Address Manager

Review business requirements and improve monitoring of the Orion Platform

Configure additional Orion alerts

Configure and manage Syslog and SNMP traps

Enable devices for network management including configuration changes

Discover and manage additional network elements (e.g. nodes, interfaces, volumes) using Orion

Customize Orion web console and Orion custom properties, views, and menu bars to meet client business needs

Expertise in the administration, support, and operation of the Orion SolarWinds platform including Network Performance Monitor,

Network Configuration Manager, Server & Application Monitor, NetFlow Traffic Analyzer and IP Address Manager

Expertise in the use of network management protocols (e.g. SNMP, SNMP Traps, Syslog, ICMP, NetFlow,etc.)

Strong experience in SolarWinds NPM, SAM, VMAN, SRM, VNQM, NTA and NCM Modules

Experience in Dashboard, Alerts configuration and Reports

Should have knowledge in JAVA. Python, Powershell

Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements

Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
