API Gateway Management DevOps/TechOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled DevOps/TechOps Engineer with expertise in API Gateway and Management platforms, with a preference for experience in Azure APIM. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the following:

* API Gateway Hosting:  Hosting capabilities in cloud and on-premises  (at Premier we have API’s hosted in Cloud and On-prem).

* Secure API implementation including API Key, Client Certificate, Azure AD/Azure AD B2C/OAuth2, Customer domain certificate/https

* Automated pipeline to promote APIs to higher environment

* Onboarding process for API publishers and subscribers

* Scalability: Configure auto-scale in production, Usage Tracking and API Reporting: API Analytics customization

* Observability: Azure Monitor log, App Insights

* Developer Portal: Customer branded out of the box functionality.

* Backend: Azure Function Apps, Logic App, On-premises API, App Service API.

* API development process template: APIOps

* ADO Pipeline (Client): APIM DevOps resource Kit

* ADO Pipeline (Platform Infrastructure): Terraform scripts in ADO pipeline

* Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: You’ll tackle complex issues related to backend systems, network connectivity, and authentication. Your ability to diagnose and resolve these challenges efficiently is crucial.

* API Testing Automation: You’ve worked with tools like POSTMAN to automate and mock API testing. Your experience in this area ensures the reliability and quality of our APIs.

* Standards-Driven Development: You understand the best practices for building both REST and SOAP services. Your adherence to industry standards contributes to robust and maintainable APIs.

* Version Control and CI/CD: Familiarity with Git and a solid grasp of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes are essential. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth software delivery pipelines.

* Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Experience with monitoring tools, setting up alerts, and conducting performance tests is part of your toolkit. You’ll proactively identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance.

* Client-Facing Documentation: Your track record includes creating technical documentation that effectively communicates complex concepts to clients. Clear and concise documentation enhances our client relationships.

Someone with Azure Admin certification and cloud experience would better fit for this position.
